One of the world’s toughest and most scenic long distance swim-bike-run triathlon courses, Challenge Wanaka is a favourite with local teams and international stars alike taking on the half or full ironman distance
Set against the stunning alpine backdrop of New Zealand’s Southern Alps and Mt Aspiring National Park - Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area - it is New Zealand’s largest triathlon festival.
Events are included for all ages and abilities and Lake Wanaka caters for over 2,000 participants, 10,000 spectators and a global audience of millions.
