A wonderful family friendly day out and a highlight of the New Year period is the superbly run Wanaka Rodeo
The guys and gals of rodeo strut their stuff for the crowds, demonstrating the prowess and skill and sheer bravery it takes to get in the ring... barrel rolling, steer wrestling, bull riding, team roping, saddle bronc and bareback bronc.
Along with the ring action is tons of live performances and side shows. If you are especially lucky you will catch Te Wanaka Lodge and Wanaka Selection's very own Wayne Enoka singing the NZ National Anthem
